 In the beginning “Samart Group” of Companies started from a small watch and radio repair shop "Samart", specialized in radio and television aerials installation. Since founded by Cherdchai Vilailuck, this modest little business has became one of Thailand's major corporations today. In 1966 the original business was expanded to include Thailand' first and largest manufacturing factory for television antennas. Since then, Samart has diversified into various areas of telecommunication business. “Samart Group” became the leading Thai-owned telecommunication company and the largest satellite antenna manufacturer in Thailand.
At present, Samart operates through its 20 affiliates, 3 of them are listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand which are Samart Corporations Plc., Samart Telcoms Plc. and Samart I-mobile Plc.
Samart Comtech Co.Ltd., was itself established in 1989. It has grown to become a well-known telecommunication company by its own accomplishments. The company has provided design and installation services for all types of telecommunication systems: satellite communications, terrestrial wireless communications, broadcasting and media, as well as Information Technology systems. Since end of November 2005 Samart Comtech Co.,Ltd. has been transfer to ICT Solutions Line of Business, to be a wholly own subsidiary of Samart Telcoms Pcl.
